Why Curaçao

There are excellent hiking opportunities on the island and the diving is first-rate. There are unusual small museums and picturesque towns with attractive Dutch colonial architecture. The island makes a good Caribbean vacation choice for families – there are sheltered bays on the west coast and lovely beaches on the southern coast, as well as lots of things for kids to do. You can take them to feed ostriches, take a trolley open-sided train ride, go to the sea aquarium or butterfly farm, visit the caves, and enjoy dolphin shows as well as dolphin and sea lion encounters.

While in Curaçao

Go on a guided history walk or architectural tour of Willemstad to discover its attractive and colorful Dutch colonial-style buildings. Explore the Hato Caves to see the stalagmites and stalactites, and if you’re a nature lover don’t miss a visit to the Christoffel National Park. There are lots of different restaurants on the island, the nightlife is lively, and there are boutique shops as well as duty-free zones for shopping.
